Some of you may have seen my thread relating to a bad DSL connection. I believe that an Ethernet connection would be better, and I know that my USB drivers are causing bluescreens.

What I don't know however, is if the Ethernet problem is at our computer or at the modem. Any Ideas before I send off for a NIC?

Pinging the localhost worked fine, so I'm guessing I'll try another Cat5.e cable...or a new modem-this problem is only caused by seriously loading the Internet connection(Starting big download, etc.)

A Ping to www.techsupportforum.com worked fine as well.
