shortcut to internet on desktop?

I just got this brand new computer.and am slowly but surely figuring it out.My ? is , how do I put a shortcut to the internet on my desktop? There was a dial up box (?) on the other computer I was using ,(win95-98) is there on winxp? Thanks in advance. Robin

Right click on desktop. New. Shortcut. Put in a URL of a website.

For dial up networking (DUN). I believe it's in "my network places" or something silly like that.
