I am preparing to purchase a HP LaserJet 3330 Multifunction printer/copier/fax/scanner, and share it between 2 computers: 1 with Windows XP & 1 with Windows ME. Other than purchasing a HP Jetdirect 310X print server for approximately $250.00, how can I accomplish this? I will also purchase a Epson C-82 Color InkJet printer, and would like to share it, as well. Both printers come with 1 parallel and 1 USB port.

If you connect them to one of the systems, it should be pretty easy to share them. Some printers don't appear to be sharable, but I've usually been successful in installing the drivers like they're a local printer, then going to properties and setting the port to the network address of the shared printer. I'd recommend the parallel port connection, since USB printers tend to be a bit more touchy when you leave them running, at least my HP does.
