Setting up external enclosure

I've recently installed an 80gb hard disk (Western Digital IDE) into an external enclosure. XP detects the drive and the enclosure and I can even run pc doctor on the hard disk(which the drive passes), but for some reason it does not show up in my computer. All the drivers seem to be functioning. What could be wrong?

You may need to partition and format the drive.
Right click My Computer, click Manage, then click Disk Management.

Hey Joe:

Did you change Mobo's in your system ????? I thought you were running an IC-7 or IC-7G Abit ?????
