Hi guys
I would like to know how to set up a wireless home network. I would like to get rid of the network cables that are all over the place, I have cable internet at 100Mbps and the modem is installed in the living room and the cat5 cables goes into 3 rooms. what are the hardware components that I need to do the installation. there are 2 desktop and 2 laptops with XP and Vista. Thanks.

I'd keep in mind that any local file sharing will be MUCH slower over a wireless link, about an order of magnitude slower than a 100mbit link.

Ok I have finish studing the documentation from the site in which NeilF had provided the link. now that I understand the set up, I just have some question that need some advice. in setup, the signal box for wireless connected to my cable modem is it OK for it to be on the floor level with the modem, or it has to be higher then 3 feet above the floor? Do I need to setup the PC for wireless, like some kind of adapter? Would there be any interference of the signal, do I have to make sure that the signal can be pick up by the other computers that are located in different parts of the home and what steps should I take? sorry for long list of questions. Thanks.
