Hello All,
Good day.
I've just changed to a new laptop the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (GA401QM-RTX30601)
Running on:
Processor AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.4 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Edition Windows 10 Home
Version 20H2
Drivers are all up to date
Some supporting screenshots FYI:
*Am not sure also why laptop alone itself the recommended solution is 2560x1440 and not 1920x1080.
Dispaly 1 (Laptop itself)
Display 2 (External Monitor)
Both showing "Connected to AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics where Display 1 resolution 2560x1440, Display 2 resolution 1920x1080.
Both can only show Refresh rate up to 120Hz.
The laptop itself max at 120Hz but the monitor is said to capable of running up to 165Hz and I'm not sure why there is no such option in Refresh rate section.
The monitor I'm using is from Brand: Prism+ X240 as show below.
(I'm currently using HDMI cable to connect this to laptop instead of getting USB-C DisplayPort cable.)
As For Nvidia Control Panel, I have already set to High Performance NVIDIA processor as shown below:
And I have also set most games that I might play to High Performance NVIDIA processor too under Program Settings
Same was applied to PhysX:
So please can anyone advise me on why under the Advanced Display Settings both Laptop & Monitor are still showing connected to AMD Graphics instead?
Sorry that I'm really not familiar with PC/Laptop so looking for help here.
And for now, whenever I start a game e.g. RUST, I started the game at laptop and changed the Multiple Displays setting to show Only the External monitor.
Will it affects any settings or FPS?
Many thanks in advance guys.
Cheers
