I have a SBS 2003 server and many computers and one of them called BU1001 that all my systems access to, they all access the share on that machine and dump files there automatically each day.

Main issue is that, the SBS 2003 server can't reach it. I see the computer, I can ping it, but when I try to click on it it says that it can't be reached, that I might not have the necessary rights to access it, and it does it instantly. The folder is shared to everyone with all access. Every other computer access that share without a problem.

BU1001 is a Windows 7 PRO machine
Server is a SBS2003

Is there a setting somewhere that could block me, preventing me from accessing the Windows 7 share on BU1001 from the SBS2003?

I don't know where to look. It doesn't seems that the share is actually the problem, it seems that the computer (BU1001 running Windows 7 PRO) is automatically and rapidly shutting down the communication process. I get refused instantly.

I rebooted both systems many times so far, don't know where to look now.

Please help. Thanks.

Make sure the windows firewall/3rd party software on the win 7 is allowing the 2003 access /or set the server by ip and host name to be allowed.

Is your 2003 dns server have a host and ptr record for BU1001?
