Hi,
I have an interface that connects to my computer's serial port. Until recently, it worked flawlessly. Last weeks it stopped responding. I thought it could be a cable or interface problem, so I plugged this interface into a Windows NT4 computer and it works fine! Of course, I tried to plug it to the second com port too.
Well, I looked in the device manager if there are any new conflicts- nil. Device Manager says "this device is working properly".
I tried to remove and reinstall the com ports- nada.
Is there any way to know if there is some service or program that perhaps ocupy the serial port so other devices cannot use it?
Any software that can "talk" to the serial port and see if it is functioning?
Thanks!
