My company is switch ISPs and my mail server must now authenicate with the outgoing.isp.net SMTP service.
All the clients are configured to send mail thru the mail server, the pop3 and smtp entries are just ''mail''
A little twist - my mail is Red Hat v 5.1 - not sure what version of sendmail that maybe but I know it has never been updated.
How does the mail server go about passing the username/password to the ISPs SMTP gateway?
Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be most appreciated!
Thank you!
