Is there anyway of stopping someone from deleting items from the computer without creating a new profile. I want to know if there is wanyway even if they manage to get it to the recycle bin if there is a way to restricit them from emptying the recycle bin? If anyone knows how to do this it would be great if you could PM me or just email me at

Thanks for the help Techlsln, when you say desk top items are you talking about just not being able to delete icons that are created, because if that is the side effect of restricting deleting out of the rycle bin that is fine. If you have figured out how to do this wirte me back. You can send it to my email address at [email protected]
look forward to hearing from you soon.

So this will actually remove the recycle bin, so what happens when someone deletes a file from another folder does it just delete right off the hard disk? Basically what I want to do is let them delete to the recycle bin but not be able to empty it......

Thanks again, I will have to think about it.... So when I create 2 profiles if they password the second profile I will still be able to access that profile since I have the administrative rights, is that correct?
