Hi

Short answer - Yes, but some licensed software (antivirus etc) might not like it.
okay so once i have configged the second drive witch has just finished :D
how can i move all my documents to that drive without backing it all to cd?

and how can i get win xp onto the second drive while running the win xp on the the normall drive?

thanks
you can install a second copy of xp, but you will have to purchase a full retail version of it. You cannot use the copy you already have installed on the other drive.

oh okay then i read just after i posted this that i could use a program called Norton ghost to copy the contents of the drive (master) to the second drive (slave).which would imitate the entire contents of the drive includeing the os (windows xp)?

many thanks
it is a violation of microsofts eula to install the second copy using ghost.
Under microsoft terms you can only have one copy installed at a time. As I said, to be legal you must purchase and install a second copy if you want to have two copies installed on one computer.
okay thanks i will have to go out and get another copy no probs they arent to expensive now vista is out there :D

quick question since you are well informed about the whole drive thing hink you could answer another of my queries ?
