Bought a 2 GB SD card for use in a digital photo frame

I started importing photo files and the import ends about 3/4 way through my files.
Says it "cannot copy the directory or file cannot be created".

CHecking the card properties- 477 used, 1.39 avail. Card acting like it's full, When I deletea few files from the card, I can then copy more- so the source files don't seem to be the problem since it will allow them. Why does the card show space yet acts like it's full?

Someone mentioned formatting the card but I dont know what that's about.

Thanks all.

All devices need to be formatted before the PC can write to them. Since it is already writeable, it is likely already formatted. How exactly are you accessing the card? Are you simply copying files or using some sort of software? Also, depending on how the card is formatted, you may have reached the file limit per folder.
