Hello,

I don't know where else to post this, and it does pertain to W11 Pro in some small way so I chose to post this here. If this is not the correct place, mods, please feel free to move this.

I have an MSI Katana GF 66 running W11 Pro, an iPad Pro running IOS 16 (plus what ever the latest upgrade number is) and two different sized (50" & 58") Samsung Series 7 Smart TVs. I like to screen cast to the TVs using the TVs as extended displays. I experience freezing up of the application on the TV screen after a while of screen casting requiring that I disconnect and reconnect. When I try to disconnect the disconnect is not instant also. When I try to reconnect the time I have before I experience another freeze keeps getting shorter and sometimes it even just immediately drops.

I have contacted Samsung and done factory resets and even that has not solved the problem. I cannot use an HDMI cable because it would have to be ridiculously long (stretch across a room) and is just not convenient. Additionally these items are siupposed to work and I expect them to work.

I am looking for any suggestions becasue I am desperate. These are not work items they are home items. I am out of my expertise zone and don't know what to do.

If any additional tech info is needed please advise.

Thank you

I have offered this solution before. But I don't think you have tired it yet.
Move the laptop close to the TV's attach them via HDMI. You can even close the lid if you like.
Use a Wireless Keyboard and Wireless Mouse attached to the laptop. You can sit the keyboard and mouse anywhere in the room and move them around if you like. No Casting required. That's my setup in my living room. Works flawlessly.

Thank you for that suggestion, but using a cable is not an option. I like to live stream and I also like to use my computer while lying in my bed and I don't think they even make cables that long. I use the TV as an extended desktop, in other words a second screen so your suggestion wouldn't be applicable. Then there's the fact that it is supposed to work and I expect it to work.

You are not understanding, the laptop would be connected by a short cable next to the TV. You would then use a Wireless Keyboard and Mouse to connect to the laptop. You can lie in bed or anywhere else in the room and use the wireless keyboard and mouse to control the laptop that is next to the TV.

The setup I suggested would be to use the TV (s) as your display(s).
This doesn't work if you still want to use your laptop as an additional monitor.
I would think that 2 TV's as displays should be adequate for your setup and not need the laptop screen.

I don't use the 2 TVs at the same time, one is in my living room the other is in my bedroom.......I still need to figure out why it keeps failing and what to do about it. Other people have set ups like these and it works perfectly fine for them I expect it to work for me too.

I don't use Google devices....and TVs well, they are a convenient method that is available to me and I don't mirror, I use the extend display option and Google devices besides being garbage are not compatible with much.
