I’m hoping someone can help me ,heres the situation ,when I attempt to run scandisc I get the following message –scandisc needs excusive access to drive
I have disabled thru msconfig –all my services & all my start up apps with no luck
Any suggestions please

Do you just cancel out? Scandisk must be ran on a reboot (mine did it too). It needs to access the system files to check 'em and it wants to have the entire disk to itself so nothing flies apart while it's checking everything. Run it when you're done with the computer for the day and you go to shut down (let it reboot).

That's the way it's designed. They do it so that there isn't a core file messed with wrong (though previous versions of Scandisk never needed that, those big sissies!).
