Im doing a full system scan and it keeps sticking at 38% it's been stuck for about 45 mins already and not moving from 38% it say item detected 1

Virus like object? Or software missing? The installation may not be completed if there was lacking on you procedure.

Does it specify the location of where it is scanning? Maybe there is something about that location that your security software isn't able to proceed from.

I would recommend that you put an end to the scan. Force the program to close if you have to, and it doesn't respond for several minutes when you request it to stop. Then get it to scan your computer again, which hopefully it will complete successfully. Personally, I think you should just let the thing run overnight so that there is more than enough time for it to complete.

Also... what program are you using?

Yeas I does specify the location but carn't remember I have tried to stop it but had to shut it down I'm using mcaffe

is this the first time you done a full system scan? try the scan again and see if it does the same.

No I have done a scan loads of times.. I have tried doing a quick scan and it didn't pick any thing up..tried about 3 times now and it still get stuck at 38%
