Hi All.

Can please tell me if it is possible to save e-mail or e-mail accounts, with out getting into windows?

I ask as each time my bro opens Outlook Express, windows blue screens and reboots.

Can I go into good old DOS, and somehow gain acess to thease files, or if it a mix of files and reg?

If you can manage to find the files the outlook saves on your hard drive and copy those, you should be able to import them on a different computer. (File, import, Messages) in Outlook.

Outlook stores my inbox here for example:

C:\Documents and Settings\[User name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{4D138D6C-6D00-472A-B39C-A6CFD41C98D9}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Inbox.dbx

Hope this is helpful. As for accounts, I'm unsure. but you can always set an account back up, you don't lose anything.
