Sounds like you need to install the sata driver provided on your Abit CD. Windows won't recognize the drive as a bootable drive without them. If you have the CD, fire up the windows install cd, and when it starts to say "inspecting hardware" press F6. Install your 3rd party driver and you should be good to roll. If you don't have the CD, schlepp on over to Abit's site and download the correct SATA driver for your board.
