Nothing to do. If it's not recognized there is nothing that you can do aside from replace the drive.
SATA HD No Longer Recognized
Hi there,
This morning I noticed that I have one less HD on my system.
The drive that is no longer recognized is a Samsung SP2504C.
When I boot up and it reaches the SATA channel that this drive is hooked into it hangs for about 30 seconds then says no drive is recognized. When I go into the bios and click check for a drive on the channel this one's in it also hangs, then doesn't recognize it. All other channels determine whether a drive is connected quickly and correctly.
I plugged another drive in with the same sata and power cables and this drive was recognized. I plugged the problem drive into another computer and the same issue persisted, with the same hang time etc.
I don't remember warnings or unusua lactivity before this happened.
I appreciate any help anyone can provide!
