i have a Sanyo PLC XE33 projector which powers up and after 3 seconds, the fans go to half power and then the red warning lamp comes on. i have checked and replaced the lamp and checked the fuses too.
ive heard this is a problem with these projectors
Any ideas?

There is a Lamp indicator for lamp issues.

The Warning indicator (according to the User Manual) indicates overheating or an abnormal condition. The cause of which are not listed. It merely states to clean the filter, if overheating. Otherwise, have it serviced.

The projector is shutting off to protect internal components. Depending on when the unit was last cleaned/serviced, there could be a number of causes. The fact that it doesn't power on at all tells me there is probably an issue with the power supply, fans, or ballasts.

Only way to have this fixed is to have it professionally serviced.
