samsung nc10 notebook does not power on

hi,
my 1 yr old samsung nc10 worked fine until i noticed that i wasn't charging anymore. i noticed that the power supply logo at the bottom right of the screen was stuck on battery power at all times, so i figured my charger was dead. i used my battery life until the computer eventually died, then bought a new charger. the new charger definitely works (heats up and led light is on), but the laptop still won't charge. nothing lights up, not even the leds.
if anyone knows how i can fix this, i would greatly appreciate your help!
