Hello. I have two computers at home. A desktop and a laptop. I got the deskopt and my sister uses the laptop. The problem is that the two computers have the same IP. So when I download form lets say megaupload and she tries it says it exceeded. And then it shows my IP on her laptop and then I try again on desktop and get the same IP. Is this suppose to happen? I got a linkys router. I really would like the two computers to have different IPs. Thanks.

Well, you only have one public IP address, that's why you have a router. The router allows multiple computers to share the single public IP address, but to all the outside world, you appear as a single computer.

If you want multiple public IP addresses, you'll need to pay more money to your ISP for the privilege.
