Edit the MSDOS.SYS file that's in the root directory, and add an entry under the [options] sections:
BootDelay=5
This will give you 5 seconds to hit the F5 or F8 key during the boot process.
You will have to remove the the protected, read-only, and system attributes from MSDOS.SYS to edit it, then restore them after the edit. Do NOT change any other things in the file or remove the lines of XXX in the file, they are necessary.
