97 s-10 4.3l original problem crank but n o start went through start system new plugs and wires new distributor cap and rotor new camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor. new fuel pump and filter also new fuel pressure regulator and manifold gasket. Finally got it to start after resetting timing was 180 out, started an ran for 30 mins. turned it off restarted. Son put bed back down on frame started vehicle it ran about 1 min sputtered and quit. lifted up bed checked wiring all looks good but no start and only getting 5volts to ground strap at pump gray wire. Is there a dedicated ground for the pump if not what is the problem.

If timing was 180 out perhaps the timing chain and gears are worn and slipping. How many miles?

Also, you said you replaced the fuel pump and regulator but did you check the fuel pressure after? If so, what is it?

Timing was out do to fact when changing camshaft sensor bolt was stripped had to pull distributor. then when putting back in things got messed up then set to marks but was on the exhaust not intake tdc. That done put in pump and had 60 psi at schader valve and it held for about five mins. or so. Vechile ran for thirty mins. Now no start. Have pulled VCM module looks like red plug had gotten hot at some time an d a bit of corrosion
