Hello, I'm looking for some advice on my Windows 10 machine. I got up this morning and everything was running brutally slow. Checked task manager to find that my HD is running at 100%. Tried rebooting and each reboot takes about 15 minutes to get back to a point of doing anything. I'm currently running a chkdsk /r but I'm wondering if anyone has seen a similar problem to this and could save me spending a long time hunting around for a solution.

Is it downloading updates? That is the first thing I look for.
