Got the dreaded RPC message last night when in IE and didnt know what the hell was going on until today. However, after numerous restarts, I shut down my computer for a while. Went back to have another go later and it would not boot.
I was taken to the screen where it provides options for booting normally, with last known working config and safe modes. None of them would work. :no:

Help. Im a relative novice at this sort of thing and cant see a way of fixing the virus if I can't get into windows.

Take a look at this

You will need to boot your computer into DOS with a boot disk in order to run this.
