Sorry if its a double post, couldn't find another on here!
I'm trying to connect an Advent 4213 running on XP onto our wireless network. I keep getting the "limited or no connectivity" warning due to not being assigned an IP. The router appears fine, and is assigning to other devices and pc's, just not this one! I've tried ipconfig release/renew but throws up the error media disconnected. The password for the network is correct.
I'm fresh out of ideas now. Any advise?

Hi Arlingtons and welcome to TSF!

More suggestions:
Update or Uninstall your Ethernet Driver--click on Start, right click My Computer => Properties => Hardware tab => Device Manager => find your Network Adapters right click on the Ethernet Adapter and choose Update Driver. If you have an ethernet driver CD for your ethernet adapter have it ready, choose Uninstall then re-install. Normally your Windows will do a Plug N play auto install for you, but just in case you might have your CD driver ready.

Disable any Security or Firewall software such as McAfee, Norton or ZoneAlarm.

Please let us know.
