I hate to bump my own thread but I would really like to get this sorted out as quickly as possible. Suggestions on other places to ask would also be appreciated.
Router Suggestion
Hello! Sorry if this is in the wrong sub-forum, but from looking this is the best I could guess.
Anyhoo, the problem. I've been using a RTP300 VoIP router for a couple years now and it's been working pretty well until a couple weeks ago when it started crapping out on me. I started looking around for a new one and it quickly became apparent that I lack the knowledge to make an informed decision on my own.
I have cable internet which is connected to a hypothetical router. To that is attatched 2 computers, the old VoIP router for the phone, and a 50' Cat5 cable leading to a Linksys EZXS55W switch which then connects to another computer and an Xbox 360. I have attatched a map of the network that I drew up in MSPaint.
The computers are used for browsing, streaming video, P2P, gaming and VoIP.
