Rolling Green Lines

Hey, I just recently built a new system using P4P865 SE Asus Board, P4 3.0 ghz, 512 pc3200 pmi ram, Samsung 160 gig hd, and a Geforce 6800 AGP version. I have an older CRT monitor, which i've tested to know it works on other compus. My problem is this: When I attempt to run the system, the no signal to monitor warning appears on the monitor screen, and horizontal green lines roll down the screen. I've checked every connection/ thing that I can possibly think of, and the card, or at least the fan on the card is definately running, My only guess as of this point is a faulty AGP slot The slot is a 4x/8x 1.5/.8 volt only. And if i remember correctly a card that's a 3.3 will not fit in a 1.5 or .8 slot, so I'm assuming they're compatible. Any Ideas? thanks.

here is an AGP compatibility chart for you.
There is the possibility that the monitor is too old to support that video card. I have run into that before, and all you get is the "No Signal" warning. The video card itself is fine, just the monitor can't support the card because of it's higher graphics/resolution capability. The best way to test it, if you can, is to geta newer monitor (LCD monitor is good option if you can get your hands on one to test with) and hook that up to your PC.
