I was interested to know what the advantages and disadvantages of RISC microprocessors are? Thanks.

it really depends on what you are trying to compare them too ...

Ask the guys who uses Apples, since this was primarily the CPU in the machine. Also used in AS400s and Unix/AIX machines. They are regarded because of there low instruction set and 64bit computing. Very fast for little processing power.
