Hello...
WinXP Home machine stopped normal functions recently.
When I right click anything in windows the system hangs. I either have to logoff/back on to resolve the hang, or play the fun game of stopping explorer.exe. I can right click in applications (e.g. Outlook) without problems. But right clicking on anything in Windows Explorer, Desktop, etc. causes the hangup.
I have scanned the pc for viruses. All normal functions of the pc seem to be unaffected (other than right clicking on objects).
It is a rather vague problem, so searching MS's KB is rather futile. Anyone out there have any advice, or can point me in a place to start researching the problem?
Thanks up front,
Jim
