My old computer is dying soon and so I'm thinking to get a budget pc.
I don't game or render 3D stuff (only occasionally).

Here are the parts I thought to get. Review/Recommend/or advise please. Thank you.

Intel G4560
Asus B250M-K motherboard
8Gb Corsair single Channel DDR4 (1x8Gb) (Didn't decide value RAM or vengeance LPX, didn't decide 2400Mhz or 2133MHz either.)
Corsair VS350, or Cooler master 350 Elite.
Corsair SSD LS series (already have and running)
Os: Ubuntu 64bit. (Running)
Case didn't decide. Something cheap.

Things I do are - mainly in Chrome with many tabs open. I'm learning web designing. So I run code editors and IDEs. Simple to moderate vector/raster graphics works. I have a samsung LED monitor 19''. I plan to get a small graphics card, but later as it's not my requirement now.

I would swap two things on the build for a little better performance.

At a minimum, I would use an i3 processor over the Pentium. It will help in the long run. Additionally, I would look at a 2 x 4GB kit of memory rather than just one stick of memory.

For the PSU, I would do at least 450Ws with a XFX, Seasonic or EVGA branded unit.

Yes I also would prefer the 2x4Gb kit. It's coming a tiny bit costlier. But the performance should also be a little better.

Rest of the things, are a little out of budget, but let's see what can I do.

By the way, what is your opinion on G.Skill memories?

I've used them in the past.

For the most part, unless you are OCing, then RAM typically works or it doesn't and there won't be any noticeable performance difference between a name brand or a generic brand.

Buy from are reputable seller and watch the warranty.

Hi there,

I concur with using Seasonic or XFX power supplies. Both power supplies brands are good and are way better than the Cooler Master power supply.
