I have recently rebooted my computer. This process reinstalled all applications while leaving all of my original files on the computer, but because these files were restricted to be accessed by only my account, I am locked out of the files. I have created a new account, using my old screenname, and my same icon still appeared, but the files were locked. In C:Documents and Settings, there is the original file, and my new file, which uses the same name, but the folder adds ".YOUR-AE066C3A9B" to the newly path. I have tried using administrator status to bypass these permission settings, but to no avail, so the files are just wasting space on my hard drive. Does anyone know a way to either access or remove the files? Any help would be appreciated.

Ahhhh the joys of NTFS.
Have you tried to log on as administrator, add your profile to the security tab and give yourself 'full control' of the folder?
