Restoring Xp ...

Check and see if you have a recovery partition in your HD. Go to my computer and check. ( if you have an HP you most likely have one. Which i dont care for) If not you may consider having a clean install of your OS. I would go with the fresh install...

so whats the next steps to restoring my xp to the factory condition?

When you restart during boot up you should notice " press f10 ( or anyother key ) for recovery. If you hit that key you should be running the recovery software. You will notice 2 types of recovery. 1 - destructive ( which wipes everything off and turns your computer to day1. The other one replaces the system files and recovers the OS. If you are infected never go with the second option. Save your data and wipe everything off will be the best bet.

Most likely it is f10.

yea ive been pretty good at not having spyware n ETC on my computer but recently i opened the wrong file n got bunch of it and its messn the comp up so what option should i use 1 or 2? if i want to restore it complety? i alreayd have everything backed up.

When you get into the recovery partition you will get very brief understandable instructions. Follow the one offers you a complete recovery.
