A co-worker installed a non-genuine version of Windows7. I created a backup on an external hard-drive and re-installed Windows Vista with the OS disc that came with the computer. Now it seems that I can't restore the files in Windows Vista. Can anyone help me PLEASE??? Thank you

Why can't you restore them? -- is it not letting you have access to the folders?
If that's the case, you need to "take ownership" of those folders by altering the permissions. Follow this tutorial:
