I backed up numerous jpg files from My Pictures in the My Documents folder. These were backed-up as files not as an image. When I restored them after a Operating System rebuild, they were not restored to the My Documents folder, but to the Documents and Settings folder in the C Drive, under the User Name associated with the primary user of the computer. When validating the restore, I find that this User Name folder is now a Denied Fileand and cannot be accessed. I am using Windows XP Home Ed. with SP3.
I have since discovered that I can work around this issue during the restore function from Acronis by Unchecking the "Restore Files preserving their security settings" box in the restore options. However, I now have a very large folder resident on my C drive that cannot be accessed and cannot be removed. How do I unlock this folder to empty it or remove it?? Thanks
