Because of a problem I had connecting to the net (not being able to), I re-installed Windows with no format. I have a folder on my drive now, called Old Drive Structure, which supposably, has all my data in it. Is there an easy way of getting all the old data back into the root folder, so it will run properly?

I noticed you have not had a reply yet, so I'll see what I can do to help.
First, are you talking about restoring data or programs? If you are talking about programs, I'm afraid the answer is no. You will have to reinstall each program. If you are talking about data, then provided your data are in the folder you refer to then it is simply a case of dragging them to the new installation.

Thanks John. I'd gradually come to realise that would be the case, although some programs will actually run from the Program Files folder of the old disc structure. Thanks again.

That's true. It's only when programs call files from other locations that they won't run, because, obviously, that location is no longer valid.
