resources conflict
hi. im new on this forum and have no idea as to where to post this but im about to smash this laptop help plz............. i have a toshiba satellite a105-4064. in trying to start the computer im getting a error of resources conflict------ pci serial bus controller on mother board bus:07 device:06 function:02. what does it all means??????? tried f8 to go to safe mode and nothing on that 1, restarted the computer again and again, same result nothing. now im loss as to what to do since windows is not even loading and all i get is that error message and nothing else..........

I've not seen that error. You may get a better response in the laptop board.
With that said, where are you seeing the that error? Before or after Windows starts to boot. Can you enter the BIOS? If it's before Windows begins to load, you have a hardware issue, likely a faulty motherboard. If it occurs while Windows is loading, then it could simply be that Windows is corrupted.

Are you able to access the BIOS? If so reset to defaults.
Remove the CD/DVD drive from the system.
Remove the internal wireless card.
If more than 1 RAM module installed remove and test 1 at a time.
Leave just 1 stick of RAM and the hard drive and attempt to boot the laptop.

i can enter the bios but as far as putting it back to default, that is not working either......... no way i can take out the wireless card since its a laptop and it does have 1.5 ram on it but i had that installed years ago and i also had the hard drive raise up to 500. which should have nothing to do with it since i had those dones 2 years ago and this issues just stated up. windows is not even loading basically nothing is loading except the screen saying i got mother board conflict. oh well if i can not resolve this issue then its a door jammer for the laptop but thanks

You should be able to remove the access door on the bottom of the laptop to gain
access to the wireless card. From everything I have been able to find about
this error points to a motherboard problem.

im just going to give up on it. too much technical work for a simple mind like mine but thanks a billion for the help i really do appreciate it.
