Hi all,

This little problem has very recently occurred for a friend of mine, and to be honest, I'm a bit stumped!! Never come across this before so hopefully someone will be able to help me!!

Basically the problem is as follows....

Full internet access is operational allowing surfing of the net, MSN chat, etc, etc, on a private network, so NO proxies enabled or filtering.

Windows Media Player 10 says there is no internet connectivity when there clearly is.

Anyone come across this before?

Take care all,

Matt

Hi Matt, welcome to TSF

Do you know which firewall your friend is using? Check the settings to see if WMP10 is being blocked.

Cheers for that, didn't think of firewall settings at all!

He's running Norton Internet Security 2006 suite, and it was blocking Media player's connection to the net.

Thanks once again! Knew this was the right place to sign up on!!
