Resolution - Input Not Supported

I accedently set my computers resolution to 800x600... now I get a error message on my monitor saying that it's not supported. I cannot use my computer since all I see is the message. I know why It's like this, I just don't know how to change it back.

can you plug it into a different monitor ? or you can try using the tab key to move and pick ok or cancel then you can right click on the desktop and reset it. but why can you just see the error message ? 800x600 is not a bad resolution at all normally.

I tried the monitor of the computer i'm using now and I still get the error...
My monitor turned black as if it was shut off. I cannot see the desktop or anything else, and i can't randomly guess where to click.
I can't use 800x600 because my monitor can't support it, i was using 1280x1040
