Hello and Hi

I have installed window xp on my pc, everything run fine until I shutdown and restarted just to check. I got a message saying "the size of the \windows\system32\config\software.log entry is not valid". then the computer moved on and gave a mess age on screen that windows would not run because it didnt want to damage the PC.

Then it restated itself and this kept on happening.

Any ideas anyone?

If you can't get it started up with dai's suggestion, it would probably be easiest to just reinstall since it is a fresh install anyway. Be sure to delete the partition during reinstall
You can also try running recovery console, and the command chkdsk /f

During install, it will give you an option to delete the partition. Highlight it and press D, then keep following the prompts

Instead of it saying unpartitioned space, it will have your previous install listed
