Problem Scrolling Web Pages

I was having trouble earlier today with my video playing when attempting to play a DVD or any movie on my computer. What was happening was I could hear the audio but was not seeing any video. I reinstalled my video drivers and I was once again able to view as well as hear any movies played.
But as a consequence of this, now when I scroll web pages using either my mouse wheel or the scroll bar on the right side of any web page, instead of scrolling the web page smoothly like it was, now it scrolls very choppy either way. This happens whether I use Firefox or Internet Explorer as my web browser. I've checked the options screen in both web browsers to be sure that smooth scrolling was still enabled, and it was in both cases.
Any help fixing this annoyance would be greatly appreciated.

OK I think I just fixed the problem. I went to windows update and installed the latest INVIDIA Video Driver to see if that would work. I was hesitant to do so because in the past when installing this driver I would get the problem of playing any movie and only hearing the audio without seeing the video. But for some reason this time everything worked out fine and can see both audio and video when playing movies.
Also scroling pages has returned to being smooth again...with no choppiness.
