how do i know what sound care type i have

i've pulled it to bits and nothing stands out. i need a sound device driver but i dont' know what one. there is apparently no driver installed for the sound. i'm running an intel pentium 2 processor, OS win98.

ok this is what i found:

so that's it, do i need to load it in anywhere? ie, through settings, system etc? or just run and reboot?

Resolution said:
All you have to do is unzip it and run the setup.exe file.

All should be well provided you downloaded the right driver and there aren't any conflicts with other drivers if they are incorrect. Hope all went well. I see from your other posts that you weren't sure about direct X, did you get that sorted out as well?

thanks that worked nicely:D yes i did the direct x prob sorted. i love trying to sort these things out myself but sometimes i need a little help, thanks
