Whenever I run Resident evil 5 on my PC.. It starts.. and shows an error

messsage even before entering the main menu.. Failed open file. "C:\Program

Files(x86)\Resident Evil 5\\nativePC\movie\re5logo.wmv"2. :banghead:

What are your PC specs?

RAM
CPU
Motherboard
Graphics Card
PSU

You could try installing it in a different area on your computer. Program files have added security which may be hampering the game. Something like this

C:\Games\Resident evil 5\...

Try re-installing the game, that error message is telling you that the intro cinematic can't be played could be due to a failed install or a windows media player fault.

if it is a windows media player fault, how may i fix it?? ..i'll try reinstalling in the mean while..
