I've seen this question all over when searching in google, but I have never seen it correctly answered. I can create new messages with Outlook and correctly send them, but it won't send any replies that I make. It just stays in the outbox. How can I fix this?

The error message is 0x80042109 and says that "outlook cannot connect to your outgoing email server." Again though, it will send new messages that I create, just not ones I reply to.

What anti virus are you using? If you still have the anti virus installation files. Remove the antivirus and try replying on mails. Hope it works.
Remember to reinstall the antivirus when you are done

I had BitDefender. I completely uninstalled it and restarted my computer, but I'm still getting the same problem when replying to an email. Is there anything else I could try? Thanks.

What email provider are you using, Yahoo, Gmail, MSN or ??????
