Is there an easy way to copy all the files off an old drive to a new? ( windows xp pro ) I have a drive that is giving me trouble and must replace it.

What brand of hard drive are you going to be using?

Most drives come with a floppy that have a program that will allow you to do this..........................

I have a bad habit of spending as little as possible. I have Maxtor & Western Didgital drives but none came in a box with a manual let alone any software. I have not yet purchased a replacement, is the software available as a download from ant MFG's?

Yes it is!

And I personally have had good luck with Maxtor.

But as usual I'm sure user opinions will vary..................
