Ok so heres the skinny, i downloaded a number of FLV's (about 14-15) on a dial-up connection, so you'd assume correctly that it took awhile. Well i love personalizing anything and everything on my pc, so i promtly renamed them, AND NOW I'M SCREWED! aparantly renaming the files changed their file type (???) because when i tried to play them (which i previously had, and they worked just fine) nothing happend, upon checking ALL the videos properties their file type just say "file" not "flv file" or "video file" just "file" what do i do? will i have to downlead all my videos again???

Just add the proper file extension. Open Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options, View. Make sure Hide Extensions of Known File Types is off.

Then rename the files to whatever .flv or whatever the extension was.
Ah, thank you very much. the multiple exclamation points was because i was worried that i might have to download them all over again. But everything works perfectly, thanks again.
