Ok, so I got my new CPU Cooler (Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo) and I want to know if alcohol, like Wine or Vodka will do the trick to remove the old compound. Also, can I use toilet paper to remove the old compound?

hi,

i would not use that type of alcohol. use isopropyl alcohol and i would not use toilet paper. use a coffie filter or lint free cloth.

I found that denim is also excellent, just don't use the ones you're wearing at present :grin:

As above. Use 90% alcohol and a coffee filter or soft clean cloth (old t-shirts work well).
