I have just installed a USB3 PCI Express card. After installing drivers and examining the status of the drivers in Device Manager I found the drivers had been recognised and were enabled. I then inserted a 8G USB 3 flash memory stick in one of the card ports and the drive was recognised and worked well. I then safely removed the flash drive and inserted my Akasa Integral S USB 3.0 removable drive and I could not get Windows to recognise it. It has been used for a long time now in a USB 2.0 port with no problems. (It is backward compatible with USB 2.0) Any ideas what I can try to do cure it. I've tried unplugging it and re-inserting it into the USB port and tiurning power on and off etc. I looked in Disc Management and Refresh does not seem to appear under Options like the help file says so I'm really stuck. I have asked manufacturer of removable drive for help and am waiting for an answer. I don't know what the mechanism is for windows XP to recognise a Drive. I even tried the BIOS.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
