Remote Desktop Connection W2k3 server

What happened
all of a sudden I'm not able to connect to my 2003 server using mstsc.exe getting the notification "the client could not connect to the remote computer..." and so on. What could have gone wrong, I haven't installed any apps or changed any setting for this in the OS. Is there a service that can be restartet to resolve this?? Or can I reset something?
