I would just try to re-install(or repair) again. I had a similar problem were it said it was missing a file and wouldn't start. I installed again and everything worked.

When I attempt to re-install windows from my xp disc it starts fine but upon the first re-start I receive the following message ( proccessl_inalization_failed)
And it will go no farther

i have tryed the same task numerous times .
Have you tried using someone else's disk and your key? Maybe the disk is damaged, I also had the problem and had to return the disk.
the thing is .i have the same operation before
